Last night the friends of Sowerby Bridge station were presented with a commemorative sign to celebrate them winning Gold in the 2012 Yorkshire in Bloom competition. This was presented by Dawn Wolrich from ACoRP, one of the organisations which has helped the group with funding for their work on the station. Matthew Gibson, station Manager for Northern Trains also spoke to praise the groups efforts.

The presentation was held at the Jubilee refreshment rooms on the station, where a buffet was laid on for the group (kindly paid for by Northern Trains)
