87012 was repainted into NSE livery and named 'The Olympian' at Euston station. Instead of the NSE branding, the loco carried the message 'Back the bid London 2012' in NSE style lettering. Renaming the loco was Mike Power (COO of the 2012 bid), Ian Pritchard from Porterbrook, Sylvia Disley (a 1952 Olympic medal winner) and Phil Haigh, from RAIL magazine.
