38 of these brand new 140kph, 6-car units are being produced by Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co (a subsidiary of China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock). They are due to begin entering service in February.

The contract was signed in July 2010 and all 38 units are due for delivery by May 2012.
