Here's the first few pictures from the 'Train of Hope' charity steam railtour which was run to raise funds for CLIC Sargent children's cancer charity.

I'll have the rest of the pictures online as soon as possible so please keep popping back. We'll also add other pictures as they become available.

The intention is that people will be able to buy these pictures online. The proceeds from any sales will go to CLIC Sargent (minus 10% which is the fee the website charges and I have no control over I'm afraid).

If any other photographers wish to contribute pictures they took on the day to help in the fundraising it would be appreciated - especially any taken from the lineside. Your pictures will be credited to you in the gallery and you will receive a personal thank you from the Train of Hope organisers.

If you want to learn more about the Train of Hope, please visit the website at

Thank you to everyone that made this tour possible.

I am delighted with the results and it will be a hard act to follow for the team.

The fund raising continues and all profit from here goes to CLIC Sargent.

regards John
